SUPPORTIVE HOUSING MANAGER
Department: Property Management
Supervised By: Assistant Director of Housing
Supervises: Live In staff
Work Location: Boston, MA
Work Hours: Full time and Part time positions available, typically Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Duties/Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
• Coordinate unit turnovers and transfers with maintenance staff
• Show vacant units
• Interview applicants for housing and assist them with necessary paperwork
• Complete verification inquiries on resident applications and recertifications
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Outreach regarding vacant unit showings
• Maintain confidentiality of tenant/prospective tenant information
• Collect rent payments and submit rent delinquencies notices
• Communicate with residents concerning legal, financial or behavioral issues
• Work with CLT case managers to create service plans for residents at risk of losing their housing
• Attend housing court mediation and hearings as appropriate
• Prepare work orders and track completion status and obtain resident sign-offs
• Inspect buildings, grounds, units and maintain inspection calendar
• Coordinate capital repairs and ongoing maintenance with maintenance staff
• Assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets in collaboration with the Director of Housing
• Maintain all resident and financial records for the property
• Monitor building for cleanliness and general maintenance
• Attend department and agency meetings as required
• Respond to emergencies; 24/7 availability by cell phone
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Supervisor
Required Experience/Skills
• Bilingual in Spanish & English (both spoken and written)
• At least two (2) years of experience in property management, supportive housing, or related field
• Prior experience working with chronically homeless, diagnosed with HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis C, drug and alcohol addiction or living with mental illness
• Ability to work comfortably with people of varying racial/ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, language and socio-economic backgrounds
• Ability to work well independently as well as with a team, including social services, maintenance, finance, as well as outside service providers, government agencies and community groups
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and Windows Preferred Experience/Skills
• Lived experience of homelessness, substance use, or other challenges affecting our supportive housing residents

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $67,000.00 – $72,000.00 per year
