| Who is CLT and What Have We Been Doing All These Years Allow us to reintroduce ourselves. Since 1985, Commonwealth Land Trust (CLT) has been dedicated to providing affordable, permanent housing for Massachusetts residents facing homelessness. With properties in Boston, Chelsea, and Lawrence, we offer more than just housing—we build supportive communities where individuals and families can rebuild their lives. Our unique approach combines property management with compassionate, wraparound services like case management and harm reduction, ensuring that each resident has the resources they need to thrive. We’re committed to racial equity, trauma-informed care, and creating safe, inclusive spaces for all. If you’re new to CLT, we invite you to learn more about our mission and join us in making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. |
| Join the Winter Walk 2025: February 9th on the Boston Common The Winter Walk invites you to participate in the 9th Annual Boston Winter Walk on February 9th, 2025, on the Boston Common. This impactful event brings together housed and unhoused individuals to walk side by side, raise awareness, and combat the stigma surrounding homelessness. Together, we’ll take steps toward creating real and lasting change for our unhoused neighbors and our entire community. This family-friendly event is suitable for all ages—even your furry friends are welcome! The day begins with registration at 8:30 AM, followed by a meaningful 2-mile walk through Boston’s historic streets. Participants will also share a communal meal and hear powerful stories from those who have experienced homelessness firsthand. These stories underscore the resilience of our unhoused neighbors and the transformative impact of support and advocacy. One hundred percent of the funds raised during the Winter Walk directly support our incredible partner organizations. These nonprofits work tirelessly to provide housing placement, street outreach, advocacy, job training, and other essential services to those in need. Every dollar raised amplifies their ability to address homelessness at its root and help individuals build a path to stability. Whether you join us in person or walk virtually in your own community, your participation is a vital part of the solution. By walking together, we demonstrate that homelessness is a challenge we can solve—when we work together with compassion and commitment. Sign up today to walk as an individual or form a team. Together, let’s take meaningful steps toward ending homelessness and ensuring that everyone has a safe, stable place to call home. Visit https://winterwalk.org for more information and to register. |
Nearly 20,000 of our neighbors in Massachusetts are unhoused—and this number is likely an undercount. Together, we can take action to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring. Visit our Facebook page for resources, information, and ways to get involved. Keep up with CLT on Facebook |
