CLT’s Application Process
CLT often has vacancies in various subsidy programs.

Applying for CLT housing starts with a visit to Intake Tuesday. These are walk-in meetings, no appointment necessary.
Many of our “units” (apartments) are connected to other programs. This means that you would need to apply for that particular program and be accepted before you would be able to get a place with CLT. CLT also has its own application process.
Here are some of the programs that we are currently accepting tenants from:
Section 8 (Housing Authority)
- This is a program from HUD and your local Housing Authority
- “Vouchers” to pay for rent can be specific to the unit OR come from outside (portable voucher)

MA Rental Voucher Program
- 34 supportive housing units in 2 buildings
- Single rooms with shared kitchen and bathrooms
- On-site case management staff
- On-site food pantry
HOPWA
- 24 supportive housing units
- 13 disability-accessible units
- Single rooms with shared kitchen and bathrooms
- On-site case management staff
MA Housing and Shelter Alliance
- 70 family housing units in 11 buildings (1-4 bedrooms in each unit)
Other CLT Subsidies
- 43 family housing units in 8 buildings (1-3 bedrooms in each unit)
- Owned but not managed by CLT
- Units reserved for low- to moderate-income families
For Lawrence, MA Only
- 69 supportive housing units
- Single rooms with shared kitchen and bathrooms
- On-site case management staff, with overnight staff providing 24-hour coverage
- On-site food pantry
There are also many programs available to help you pay rent, pay for moving expenses, pay costs related to move-in (first month’s rent, last month’s rent, and security deposit), and even cover back rent.
